"To the editor.
Wow! People do actually believe global warming is a myth.

I, Anna Jogefalk, the Swedish exchange student in Prescott High school, read the article "Global warming is obviously a fraud" and I was shocked. Yes, trust me, I know it has been extremely cold the last couple of days, but to use that as a main argument to mention global warming as a fraud makes me laugh.
The recent cold snap displays the extreme weather global warming brings. Also, the cold weather here doesn't mean that the average temperature is getting lower. It could be hotter than usual in other places in the world. Believe it or not, there are more countries in the world other than the United States. Global warming refers to the average temperature on the whole planet and is studied over seasons and years. It's time to wake up and look around, everything is not only about you.
"Man-made global warming is a hoax". Give me a break. Every day humans emit tons of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The increased amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere traps the radiation from the sun and intensifies the normal greenhouse effect. Statistics show obvious patterns between increased greenhouse gases and the rising temperatures. Global warming and climate change has many terrible consequences and one of them is extreme weather, which we all have experience recently.
The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) are eight measurable goals to create a better world that the world leaders adopted in 2000, with a deadline of 2015. Goal 7 is to ensure environmental sustainability. This goal integrates the principles of sustainable development into country policies and programs and reverses the loss of environmental resources. But how can we achieve the goal if some people do not believe that human activities affect our planet?
If you want to read more about the MDGs check out the and if you want to discuss this with me, I'm more than happy to do it."
